With a beautiful, peaceful atmosphere, Camp Oliver is an ideal place for retreats, staff training, school outings, and nature studies. Come enjoy our rustic, natural setting - hike our trail or others nearby. The camp is conveniently situated near Cuyamaca and Cleveland State Parks. These National Parks contain local treasures such as Paso Picacho, Green Valley Falls and Stone Wall Peak.
Camp Oliver is in Descanso
Where is Descanso? Just 40 minutes from Downtown San Diego, head east past Alpine on I-8 to Highway 79 (Julian/Japatul exit). Turn left (north) under the overpass and continue for a mile. Turn left onto Riverside Drive. Enter into Camp Oliver at the third driveway on the right side of the road (8761 Riverside Drive). Click here to see a map.
