Something special happens when children spend a week at Camp Oliver. Each child becomes part of the camp family. Learning to share and making independent decisions are part of a child’s growth and development. We offer one-week sessions for campers ages 6-16, each week with its own special theme. Campers also participate in a variety of programs and daily activities, make lasting friendships, and develop a wealth of new skills and interest. It is truly an unforgettable experience for all.
Camp Oliver functions so well because of our friendly staff. Counselors are carefully selected for their skills and sensitivity in working with children. They participate in a week-long training session, including CPR, First Aid and team building. Low camper-to-staff ratios ensure that each camper receives proper supervision throughout his or her stay. Experienced counselors head our arts & crafts, archery, nature, sports, aquatics, and other specialty programs.
Campers live in cabins that house up to 12 people plus staff. Upon arrival at camp, all campers are grouped according to the age that was noted on the registration form. Cabin Mate requests must be in same age group and gender. No exceptions.
Camp Oliver provides three delicious, nutritionally balanced meals per day, served family style. Our certified chef coordinates the menu and prepares the food in a professional kitchen. At present time, meals are NOT specially prepared for vegans.
A medical examination completed in the past 2 (two) years and a current health history are required of every camper PRIOR to departure for camp.
